Research and Academic Activity

Over the years, I have maintained continuous scientific activity reflected in publications focusing particularly on psoriasis, systemic inflammation, comorbidities and other inflammatory skin diseases. A significant part of this work has been aimed at improving our understanding of the relationship between psoriasis, cardiovascular risk, subclinical atherosclerosis, fatty liver disease, biomarkers and treatment response, with the aim of contributing to more preventive, more personalised medicine that is more closely connected with everyday clinical practice.

A landmark and highly representative study because of its innovative contribution to vascular assessment in patients with psoriasis.

Scientific activity is not limited to publishing. It also involves sharing results, exchanging experience and maintaining continuous contact with the international academic community. Over the years, I have regularly participated in national and international congresses, scientific meetings, specialist courses and academic events related to psoriasis, systemic inflammation, skin ultrasound, clinical dermatology and immunodermatology.

Continuing professional development is an essential part of both medical practice and research. A significant part of my scientific activity has focused on projects related to psoriasis, its comorbidities and comprehensive patient assessment. One particularly important research programme has examined the relationship between psoriasis, systemic inflammation, subclinical atherosclerosis and cardiovascular risk, with the aim of developing more precise patient-assessment models and contributing to more preventive and personalised medicine.

Alongside this principal research programme, through ICMR I also participate in studies and clinical trials involving other inflammatory skin diseases, including atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, vitiligo, alopecia areata and notalgia paraesthetica.

My research activity has also received support from competitive grants aimed at advancing our understanding of the relationship between psoriasis, systemic inflammation and cardiovascular risk. These grants have supported projects focusing on biomarkers, subclinical atherosclerosis and new approaches to assessing the systemic impact of psoriasis.
