Revisit The Psoriasis Revolution III, the 2025 edition of our event for people with psoriasis, held on 29 March.
On Saturday, 29 March, we held the third edition of The Psoriasis Revolution, an event that began in 2022 with a clear purpose: to provide people with psoriasis with relevant information about their disease in a clear, useful and accessible way. In 2025, The Psoriasis Revolution III once again brought together patients, relatives and healthcare professionals to discuss recent advances in psoriasis management, answer common questions and provide a space for dialogue and shared experience.
A meeting point for patients and healthcare professionals
As in previous editions, the event went beyond providing information. It offered a forum in which patients, families and professionals could share experiences, questions and different perspectives on living with and managing psoriasis.
Dermatologists, rheumatologists, psychologists, nutrition specialists and other healthcare professionals took part, addressing psoriasis from a multidisciplinary perspective. This is particularly relevant because psoriasis does not affect only the skin. It may also have physical, psychological and social implications that should be considered as part of comprehensive care.
Scientific evidence with a patient-centred approach
One of the featured speakers was Dr Joel M. Gelfand, internationally recognised for his research into the relationship between psoriasis, systemic inflammation and cardiovascular risk. His message highlighted the progress made in understanding and treating psoriasis and the reasons for looking to the future with optimism:
“Today, science gives us real tools to change the future for people living with psoriasis. There are reasons to be optimistic.”
Perspectives beyond psoriasis
This year, we were also joined by Paralympic athlete Sara de Andrés, who spoke about resilience, adapting to adversity and approaching everyday challenges. Although she does not live with psoriasis, her experience offered a broader perspective on how people can respond to situations that affect their daily lives.
